How To Create A Custom Photo Pendant Necklace
From hinged lockets to carved cameos, human faces and jewelry have long been a match made in sentimental heaven. Step 1 - Measure out the size of your photo and the pendant setting with the aid of an image editor. Step 4 - Check out the instructions on the crafting resin packaging and mix accordingly. Measure as accurately as possible and stir.
Step 5 - Apply some of the resin to the pictures front facing side. The amount you use should depend on the type of look you want for your project. For example, you may decide to add just enough resin to provide your photo with a hard outer layer, or you may opt for a larger amount, resulting in a rounded, thick bubble over the top. Whatever way you choose, the resin will stiffen in the size and shape you choose to apply it in.
Step 6 - Give the resin ample time to dry, keeping it clear of any dust or dirt. Leave it in a safe area and avoid touching it with your hands. Any fingerprints, smudges or foreign particles will remain in the resin once it has dried completely.
Step 7 - Add a jump ring through the hole at the setting's top and attach a necklace or chain chord.
