Curing Wood- it’s a must try to now help us
There are few ways through which one can cure wood. First and most important way to cue wood is to remove the moisture content. The moisture content should not be more than six to nine percent. Ways to dry a wood are many and are enumerated as follows.
Kiln Curing and Air Circulation.
Keep the stack of wood with spacers in between to enable the air circulation between them either in a cool dry place or in a box. Ensure that there is space between every wooden block. Keep some warm air heat source around the log. A black plastic with frame and a small fan that can keep moving the warm air around the log can also be helpful in drying the wood and making it rough. Once the wood becomes rough, you can soak the wood in denatured alcohol for few hours, roughly 5 hours. Once the soaking is done, take the wood out and cover it with a grocery paper and tape it. Again place it such that air circulation can take place.

In an oven the pieces of wood gradually turn light and hard as well because of the contraction of the cellulose structure. Thus cured wood adjusts and allows very easily to colors and paints.
